The vehicle is from the legendary Citroen DS series, also known as La Déesse – the Goddess.
It is the D Super 5 version, which means it is a Citroen ID.
This slightly stripped-down series of the DS was launched in spring 1957.
The sedan pictured was built in 1972. It was first registered in January 1973.
The engine is a carburetor engine with 76KW/103 HP.
The car has a 5-speed gearbox and swiveling high beams.
The vehicle has been with our customer for six and a half years and runs perfectly with an estimated mileage of approx. 220,000 km.
The customer is a die-hard Citroen fan and tinkerer and drives only Citroens.
His Citroen career began with a bamboo green 2CV, moved on to the BX and CX, and then to the DS.
For two years now, a 1983 GSA has also been in his fleet.
It will receive its H-plate (historic vehicle registration) next January.
Currently, the Citroen enthusiast is trying to complete a 1988 CX Prestige.
Both the Citroen ID and the Citroen CX Prestige will be equipped with new fuel hoses.
After replacement, these will be secured with Norma clamp hose clamps and will receive a new fuel filter with a paper insert.
