The Rosenheim-based company relleumdesign has made it its business to design and manufacture particularly high-quality additional parts for automotive long-distance travelers.
One product from this extensive range of offerings is an auxiliary diesel tank for the VW Bus T5 4motion.
Furthermore, tanks for the 2WD versions of the VW T5 are also produced. This also applies to all body variants, such as those of the flatbed.
The special feature of this conversion is that a second fuel filler neck does not have to be installed and the tank is not visible from the outside.
To make this possible, an electronically controlled gear pump with a remote control is used.
This 12-volt gear pump can be controlled from inside the vehicle using the intelligent display shown.
The original fuel level sensor of the VW T5 is integrated into the auxiliary tank.
The signal for the series display is switched in the instrument panel.
The additional tank capacity of the welded stainless steel tank is approximately 75 liters.
These are pumped from the original tank into the auxiliary tank within approximately 3 minutes by the 12-volt gear pump.
Of course, this process must also be able to run in reverse.
Using the pump's display, it is switched to reverse rotation.
For long-distance traveling VW T5 drivers and frequent drivers, fascinating ranges result.
Many customers find the one-tank solution very comfortable and elegant, because it is completely inconspicuous.
