This Ford comes with a water separator as original equipment for separating water from diesel, to protect the injection pump.

Unfortunately, the water separator often leaks after use and with age.

The consequence is that diesel leaks out and air is drawn in.

Neither is good for the environment or for smooth vehicle operation.

The customer then installed our water separator for diesel fuels.

It is also possible to order spare parts for this product at a reasonable price.

The installed 420cui (6.9 L) Navistar Diesel with retrofitted Banks turbocharger is now running as it should again.

The Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences also participates in Formula Student.

This was launched in the USA in 1981.

Meanwhile, over 270 universities worldwide participate in this competition.

Formula Student is one of the largest funding programs for engineering students here in Germany.

Students can put theory and research into practice here.

This car is the first Formula Student race car of BRS Motorsport e.V., the racing team of the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences, and was completely developed and built by students of the university.

The car is based on a tubular space frame and weighs less than 300kg in total.

The wheelbase is 1635mm, the track width 1250mm (front) and 1150mm (rear).

Power is provided by a modified motorcycle engine from the Yamaha R6, which, thanks to an air intake restrictor prescribed by the regulations and modified engine control, delivers approximately 70hp.

Power is transmitted to the rear axle via a chain drive.

The chassis was specially developed by the students for motorsport use and weight-optimized through the consistent use of light metals.

To adapt the handling to the different disciplines, the suspension geometry and the dampers are multi-adjustable.

The wheels for the Formula 3 slicks are also an in-house development and precisely designed for the requirements/stresses of Formula Student tracks.

BMW, the motorcycle manufacturer, designates its sport-oriented motorcycle series as HP2.

The abbreviation HP stands for High Performance and the number 2 for the number of cylinders.

Particular emphasis is placed on a low dry weight for models such as the Enduro, Megamoto, Supermoto, and Sport, among others.

For an Enduro that you want to ride for longer distances, the standard tank with a capacity of 13 liters is a bit small due to weight considerations.

Our customer solves this problem by developing a 7-liter polyethylene tank.

This auxiliary tank fits perfectly into the frame of the BMW HP2, giving the impression that it is a factory-fitted product.

The extra volume, with an average consumption of 5.5 l/100 km, extends the range by over 100 km.

A small button mounted on the frame is used to control the Facet Type 40185
fuel pump.

This piston pump with a built-in check valve then transports the fuel from the auxiliary tank into the original onboard tank.

To protect the pump, a screw-in pre-filter is used.

Numerous BMW HP2 motorcyclists are already convinced by the system, allowing them to meet in the mountains without having to push their bikes back.

Hallberg Rassy Sailboat

Here we present a cruising yacht from the traditional Hallberg Rassy shipyard.

The Swedish company has existed since 1972 and became particularly well-known through the circumnavigator Rollo Gebhard.

The yachts are characterized by their solid construction and high-quality equipment.

This yacht, built in 1974, is anchored off the coast of Turkey.

The sailing yacht is equipped with a Volvo Penta MD 21 A with approx. 50 hp.

The diesel tank is located in the keel of the boat.

Therefore, a fuel pump with a high suction capacity is required to pre-supply fuel to the injection pump.

Of course, the Facet pump used is self-priming and equipped with a stainless steel pre-filter.

The sieve can be removed without tools, and the transparent bowl facilitates diagnosis of filter contamination.

In the engine compartment image, the raw water filter, diesel filter/water separator, and the Facet dura lift type 40222 diesel pump are clearly visible.
