Porsche 924 Youngtimer Trophy Class 4 with fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge
Today, a post about motorsport with youngtimers.
As can be seen directly from the photo, it is a Porsche 924.
This model has a 2-liter four-cylinder engine with approx. 165 hp.
The Porsche 924 was built for Group 4 in the Youngtimer Trophy.
It has a fuel pressure regulator with integrated filter element.
To ensure complete accuracy, a display instrument for the fuel pressure was also installed.
To tap the fuel pressure, a brass T-piece with three hose fittings was spliced into the pressure line after the fuel pressure regulator.
Pumpen Peters offers this T-piece as a set .
The small outlet with the 4 mm inner diameter PA hose leads to the glycerine-filled manometer.
In the photos, you can see the fuel pressure gauge in the third photo, bottom left, next to the sports steering wheel.
The white-backed pressure gauge has a finely graduated display range from 0 to 1 bar.
This allows the pressure in the fuel system to be clearly measured.
This is used, for example, to set the pressure values for a Filter King, Petrol King, Pro Flow, or other pressure regulators.
This process is particularly important when using carburetor systems.
We have this instrument manufactured for us in this version in small series by a German manufacturer.
