What connects Porsche tuner 9ff Dortmund and Pumpen Peters?
In short, special fuel hoses, check valves and hose connectors.
The engine tuning measures carried out by 9ff on Porsche vehicles require selected fuel hoses for the fuel supply of the upgraded engines.
The special feature is that these special fuel hoses are laid inside the tank.
So they are not only flowed through by the super fuel, but also flushed.
Only hoses with certain material combinations can be used for these operating conditions.
The same applies to Porsche 9ff vehicles that are fueled with 100% ethanol for additional performance enhancement.
The fuel hoses used here meet all the necessary criteria for smooth continuous operation with the special fuel E100.
If space is very tight, the fuel hoses also have to be laid around bends that the bending radius of the hose does not allow.
This is where our various hose connectors come into play, as well as for connecting several fuel pumps using Y pieces.
Since 9ff is not far from us, a visit to the hallowed halls was an obvious choice.
Out of consideration for 9ff's "tuning secrets", we only show pictures without technical details.
We thank 9FF GERMAN ENGINEERING for the insights and wish them many more new world records!

Cruising yacht, Brasser 28 ft, Yachtwerft Saaman b.v. Appingendam/NL
The ship's name is SKYE.
It is a Brasser 28, built in 1977.
The manufacturer is Yachtwerf Saaman b.v. Appingendam/NL.
The designer was Robbert Das.
The yacht is a long-keeled chine hull double-ender.
The rig is designed as a high-aspect gaff cutter.
The sails include a mainsail, a self-tacking jib, and a furling genoa.
Matching the ship type, these are all in traditional sailor red.
If there's a calm, a 27 hp Lombardini inboard diesel powers the ship.
And that's exactly where Pumpen Peters comes in.
We supply new fuel hoses, ball valves, hose connectors, hose nozzles, and hose clamps for the trouble-free operation of the engine.
The owner describes his ship as follows:
"Great, good-natured, and proven cruising yacht that feels really comfortable from 4-5 Bft, has significant headroom below deck, and also offers plenty of space for safe work on deck."
The photos are from last year and were taken in Travemünde.
We wish you always a hand's breadth of water under the keel and fair winds.

1959 DKW AU 1000 with 6 Volt fuel pump as a replacement for the mechanical pump
The standard installed fuel pump is mechanically driven by pressure.
To replace this mechanical fuel pump, our customer from Denmark installed a 6-volt fuel pump .
The mechanical pump was decommissioned after installation.
The engine to be supplied is a 3-cylinder in-line engine.
This runs as a 2-stroke. The engine has a displacement of 981 cm³.
The maximum output of 55 hp is available at an engine speed of 4500 rpm.
The DKW AU 1000 thus reaches a top speed of 140 km/h.
The four-speed gearbox is operated via a steering column gearshift.

Motorcycle Honda Deauville 650 replacement of the defective fuel pump with a Facet fuel pump
We have previously reported in this blog about a Honda Deauville 650 and the replacement of the defective original fuel pump.
You can find the old post here.
The Honda Deauville 650 shown now was built in 1999.
The fuel pump failed at approx. 30,000 km.
The motorcycle can also be ridden without a fuel pump.
However, only with a reduced range of approx. 200 km.
Due to the lack of pre-pressure from the fuel pump, there are problems when starting off and when accelerating quickly in the lower RPM range.
The engine tends to choke.
The customer has now installed the Facet fuel pump model F-40104 from Pumpen Peters.
This pump was installed on rubber buffers, which were mounted on the original pump bracket.
In addition, a new Mann WK 32/7 fuel filter was installed before the Facet fuel pump.
The Facet pump F-40104 is vibration-isolated and installed with an extra fuse.
With these measures, normal operation is again ensured.
The Facet pump F-40104 was immediately available and the purchase price is only 1/3 of that of the original Honda fuel pump.
For imitators, here is a list of parts that you can find in our Pumpen Peters shop:
1 piece Facet fuel pump 12 Volt model F-40104
2 pieces matching hose nozzles ST-10-1/8-NPT with 1/8 inch American NPT thread
1 bottle of liquid thread sealant for sealing the above hose nozzles in the Facet fuel pump
1 meter fuel-resistant fuel hose with 9.5 mm inner diameter
4 pieces of Norma S clamp hose clamps suitable for the above hose
1 piece splash-proof fuse holder
1 piece blade fuse with 3 Amperes
2 or 4 pieces cable tap / power tap for electrical connection of the pump and additional blade fuse.
We wish you much success in replicating this and always accident-free riding.

Sailboat Catamaran Nautitech on circumnavigation with 12 volt transfer pump for gasoline and diesel.
Today, we are showcasing a customer's brand-new Nautitech Open 40-foot catamaran.
For non-sailors: The boat measures 11.98 m in length and 6.98 m in width.
The sailing catamaran has two 80 hp Volvo Penta inboard diesel engines, which deliver their power via the saildrive.
The catamaran has just been delivered and is equipped for circumnavigation.
Of course, a Facet dura lift pump with 12-volt drive is a must-have.
This can pump both diesel and petrol.
With the help of this pump, for example, the outboard tank can be filled easily and in an environmentally friendly way.
On long journeys, there are also remote places where diesel is only available in steel barrels.
This is where the mobile 12-volt refueling pump with a long suction and discharge hose comes in handy.
The suction height is 3 m and the diesel pump is self-priming.
So, everything is ideal for self-refueling.
With the help of the 12-volt DC pump, you can transfer fuel between the two installed diesel tanks.
This may be necessary for various reasons.
It is also possible to pump out the diesel tanks, for example, for cleaning purposes if the diesel is contaminated with diesel bug.
The Facet Dura Lift pump has a transparent sight glass with a built-in 80-micron stainless steel sieve.
This ensures clear monitoring of the pump's function.
At the same time, the fuel is cleaned of coarse impurities.
This petrol transfer pump has dry-running properties of up to 4 hours and is equipped with a check valve.
The operating temperature is -31 to +55 C.
So, a real universal pump.
We wish our customer a great time during the circumnavigation and always a fair wind and following seas.
